An escape room puzzle RPG game where you have to search around for clues and solve puzzles in order to escape. Explore the rooms, find clues, read between the lines and solve the puzzles to escape! Escape from Monkey Island is an adventure game developed and released by LucasArts in 2000. It is the fourth game in the Monkey Island series and the first to use 3D graphics. The game centers on the pirate Guybrush Threepwood, who returns home with his wife Elaine Marley after their honeymoon, to find her erroneously declared dead, and her office of governor up for election.
As with a regular escape room, the expected play time is around 60 minutes. This varies between 30 and 120 minutes based on your familiarity with puzzles. However there's no clock stopping you, so take your time and don't feel pressured. If you do get stuck, there are multiple hints available for each puzzle in the pause menu.

Galapagos: Mendel's Escape is a unique, obscure game where you have to control a robot through a maze, but it wasn't quite implemented perfectly. This is because the controls can be somewhat clumsy and the camera keeps moving everywhere.

Our library is in its third year of using escapes rooms that teach the basics of navigating the digital and physical library. This activity requires critical thinking and creative problem solving in a team environment. We have assessment data showing extraordinary retention of information learned during the game. This presentation will cover our various escape games and provide information on how to adapt escape rooms for your community.
